A large fire breaks out in a Japanese restaurant in Saint Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Firefighters battled a large restaurant fire in St. Petersburg on Friday morning.

According to the policefire broke out at Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse, located at 2176 Tyrone Blvd. North.

Tyrone Blvd. North to North 22nd Avenue were initially blocked to traffic, but have since reopened following the fire investigation.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Officials said WFTS-TV that they expect the restaurant to be a total loss.
