Singapore’s integrated Marina Bay Sands resort has unveiled the upscale Japanese restaurant WAKUDA Singapore, a collaboration between world-renowned chef Tetsuya Wakuda and restaurateur John Kunkel.
Welcoming its first customers on Sunday, April 17, WAKUDA Singapore is Wakuda’s second restaurant at MBS – after the two-Michelin-starred Waku Ghin. Featuring fresh produce from Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, the restaurant will offer à la carte dining in its main dining room and Japanese mixology at the bar, with a “refined omakase experience and of private sushi room” to be launched in the near future.
WAKUDA Singapore precedes the imminent launch of WAKUDA at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas later this year.
“We are truly honored to deepen our existing partnership with Chef Tetsuya Wakuda and 50 Eggs Hospitality Group with the inauguration of WAKUDA Singapore,” said Christine Kaelbel-Sheares, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Marina Bay Sands.
“With its assurance of supreme quality and exceptional dining experiences, WAKUDA will set a new standard for dining at Marina Bay Sands as we once again welcome more local and international guests.”
Chef Wakuda is best known for his fine dining restaurant Tetsuya’s in Sydney, which has been consistently named one of the world’s 50 best restaurants.
